After you name the districts

How does flooded Arkham actually work?

A The Sinking City 2 locations search is usually “where do I go next,” not a tourist list. Official store copy describes a Roaring ’20s port buckling under a supernatural flood: tide-stained avenues, battered Art Deco, dark speakeasies, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets in boarded parlors. You navigate on foot and by skiff. When you return, flood waters rise and change layouts. That is the map rule. It is not a static open world.

Red then blue, then leave

Community footage of the in-game map treats red rooms as unfinished loot and blue as cleared. That is a HUD habit, not a studio pin API. If you only came for The Sinking City 2 locations, the useful rule is: do not leave a district while the map is still red unless the pack is full. Stash, then return. Survival owns the pack. This page owns which district you are standing in.

Named streets versus named hubs

Official and overview materials also name Devil’s Reef Hotel, Redemption Church, and a descent deep below the city. Third-party walkthroughs additionally route through The Silver Eel, Arkham Printing House, Arkham Fire Department, a Weighing Station, and watergates between them. Those are real names. They are not a complete atlas. Rooms, crate counts, and flood-change timestamps stay TBA.

Once you can read the map, the first story hub most players search is the university.

What is at Miskatonic University?

Miskatonic University is the first named The Sinking City 2 locations hub most trophy lists care about. The Steam / GOG cup Welcome To Arkham! is “Reach Miskatonic University.” Official overview copy lists it beside the hospital and the fish market as a landmark from before the flood. Opening play goes to the library / Library Annex for a ritual book Calvin needs for Faye — that is story geography, not a code sheet.

What is confirmedWhat stays TBA

Annex is a hub you return to (walkthroughs send the boat back here)A complete NPC roster
Nearby watergates connect church / hotel lanesSafe codes — never printed here

University is a hub, not a one-room trophy

Reaching Miskatonic pops the welcome cup. Clearing the Annex is a different job: map pickup, shortcuts, and at least one optional investigation cluster walkthroughs place here. Do not empty the pack on the skiff ride over. You want a slot for the first inventory or talent reward, not twelve melee leftovers. Tips is the ammo page. Walkthrough is the no-spoiler route.

Church and hotel sit on the same water

After the Annex, the same flooded lanes feed Redemption Church and later Devil’s Reef Hotel. Those are confirmed named The Sinking City 2 locations. They are not Miskatonic floors. If a search for “university library sinking city 2” dumped you here, stay on this section; church and hotel puzzles belong on puzzles after a verified pass — this page will not invent a trident order or a bell year.

The next district trophy lists care about is the hospital Calvin is trying to leave.

What happens at Akeley Memorial Hospital?

Akeley Memorial Hospital is the official hospital — the store line is “a hospital where science hides its face.” The Steam / GOG cup Bodysnatchers is “Discharge yourself from Akeley Memorial.” Sterilizer is “Defeat three nightmares in the hospital.” This The Sinking City 2 locations page names those facts. It will not invent ward HP or a fake floor map.

Morgue and treatment roomsNamed in play; crate list TBA
An inky enemy you cannot permanently killCommunity-observed — avoid, or burst to banish briefly
Bodysnatchers + SterilizerStory / combat cups tied to this building

Discharge is the story beat; Sterilizer is extra combat

Bodysnatchers is leaving the hospital. Sterilizer is three named nightmares inside it. Do not assume they pop on the same door. A trophy guide run should flag both before you skiff away. How-to steps for the three nightmares stay TBA until a live combat pass — enemies owns weak points, not this atlas.

Treat Akeley like a Resident Evil building

Walkthroughs describe a forest approach, a reception Safe Room, shortcuts back to reception, and a yard you fall into. That is enough to plan the pack: healing and a mid-tier firearm, not a sightseeing crate run. If the pack is already full, stash first. Flood and skiff do not help you inside a locked ward.

When you can leave Akeley, the next named bite is the market.

Why does the Arkham Fish Market matter?

Official copy: a fish market where the merchandise bites back. Trailers put Deep Ones in the water around it. The Steam / GOG cup Bigger Fish To Fry is “Survive the Arkham Fish Market.” That is why this The Sinking City 2 locations page treats the market as a story hub, not flavor text.

Weighing StationWalkthrough interior name — tool pickup, not a pin

Survive means leave with a kit, not a body count

“Survive the Arkham Fish Market” is the cup text. It is not a kill-everything mandate. Tips already says to disengage and run to a Safe Room when the room is a swarm. The market is where that habit pays: Deep Ones from dark water, tight floors, and a pack that still needs a slot for the next tool. Exact crate and Leyden-jar counts stay TBA.

Market tools are not a code list

Walkthroughs name a Weighing Station and a Cold Room because tools live there. This wiki will not print a jar order or a locker combination on a locations page. If you are stuck on a starfish door or a cold-room wheel, open puzzles after we log a verified string — not a guessed number.

Premium owners have one more building that Standard does not.

What is Holloway Manor in The Sinking City 2?

Holloway Manor is a Premium side investigation, not a Standard The Sinking City 2 locations district. Store pages attach it to Premium with Bucking Bronco, Kane attachments, and a revolver ammo recipe. Preview notes place the manor on a cliff outside Arkham: old family house, occult history, hidden paths, puzzle rooms. Completing it feeds the revolver back into the main game. Exact pickup room stays TBA.

EditionHolloway ManorWhat you do not get on Standard
Standard · $49.99 StandardNoManor case · Bucking Bronco pack as a Premium bundle
DeluxeNo — Field Kit, not the manorThe Holloway Manor mission
PremiumYes — side investigationNothing extra you must invent; confirm the live store

It never gates the main story

Investigations are optional. A Premium manor case is still an investigation. You can finish The Sinking City 2 without it. You cannot pretend a Standard save “secretly” contains the manor because a YouTube title said so. Confirm the edition on Steam before you hunt a cliff house that is not on the disk.

Bucking Bronco is a weapon page, not a map pin

The revolver and Kane attachments belong on weapons. This page only records that Premium ties them to Holloway Manor. Room, chest, and attachment bench stay TBA. Do not invent a basement code to make the row look finished.

The last travel layer is water and whatever sits under the streets.

How do the skiff and underground change the map?

Every The Sinking City 2 locations loop eventually asks the same two questions: when do I take the boat, and what is under the city? Official features: explore by foot and by boat, flood waters rise and change layouts, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and you descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir. The skiff is a district connector, not a combat platform you should park in a Deep One lane for fun.

  • Do01Check the in-game map before you board — red rooms behind you are cheaper than a new district with a full pack
  • Do02Use a Safe Room stash so the skiff ride is not a rolling junk drawer
  • Do03Treat watergates as gates, not decoration — if the boat stops, the lever or power problem is on land
  • Do04Unlock the shortcut on the way in so the walk back does not recross every flooded street
  • Do05Do not invent underground floor names — “below the city” is confirmed; a 20-room sewer atlas is not
  • Do06Skip Holloway Manor unless the save is Premium
  • Do07Open walkthrough for chapter order and investigations before you spend an hour on an optional case with an empty pack

Skiff first, then feet, then stash

Opening play already puts Calvin on flooded streets and into a boat. Later chapters keep that rhythm: dock, walk a building, pull a watergate, board again. Deep Ones surge from dark water — official. That is why enemies and tips both say retreat is legal. A skiff with no stash plan is how you arrive at the Fish Market already broke.

Underground is real; the pin list is not

PlayStation store copy and Steam both say you descend below the city. Preview notes mention crypts, cold storage, and boarded interiors. This wiki will not draw a fake sewer. When a live pass logs named underground rooms, they land here. Until then, treat “underground” as a travel layer: shortcuts, horrors, and a pack you already lightened upstairs.

If you only needed the district names, you have them: Miskatonic University, Akeley Memorial Hospital, Arkham Fish Market, Premium Holloway Manor, plus skiff lanes and a confirmed descent. Next: walkthrough for order, wiki for lookup.
